Purpose

The objective of the Master Data Add-on is to do Approval of the Master Data objects (like Item Master & BP Master) during Creation of New Data and Changes in existing Data, and this add-on also performs approval on different marketing documents at the time of Cancellation & Manual closing

Functions of Master Data Approval Add-on

Configuration

Item Master Approval
  • This function is used for the configuration of Item master Approval
  • Users will define and setup as Originator, User, Name, and Approval Level
Business Partner Master Approval
  • This function is used for the configuration of Business Partner Master Approval
  • Users will be defined and setup as Originator, User, Name, and Approval Level
Master Data Approval Process

In this Add-on, BP Master data and Item Master data can be approved for three levels

  • If the First approver is  approved, then Item/BP Master data goes to the Second approver
  • If The Second approver is approved, then Item/BP Master data goes to the Third approver
  • If The Third approver is approved, then the item/BP Master one alert goes to the Originator for adding/saving data
  • After all the approvals, the originator can add the item/BP Master data. Then, the user can do any transaction with this approved item/business partner.

Item Master – Approval Process
  • After adding the Item Master data, it goes for approval to 1st approver
  • Then, after being approved by the 1st approver, the Item master goes for approval to the 2nd approver
  • After approval from the 2nd approver, Item/BP Master goes for approval to the 3rd Approver
  • If any user/Originator updates the Item/BP master, then the same scenario will repeat again
