Functions of SAP B1 QC Addon

Configuration

QC Configuration

  • This screen is for the Configuration setup, here we will select the warehouse on header
  • That is QC & RJ warehouses ,after that we will choose Stages on which we have to do the quality checking

Masters

Item Master

  • In the Item Master , we will have a check box which will be checked for those item which is under Quality checking
  • Those item will be only coming in Quality warehouse which has been checked only

QC Parameters

On QC Parameter screen we will define Parameter code & Name ,we can select parameter type numeric or Visual and also, we can define the UOM of parameter

Item Master

  • In the Item Master , we will have a check box which will be checked for those item which is under Quality checking
  • Those item will be only coming in Quality warehouse which has been checked only

Transactions

GRPO

  • When User enters GRPO, SAP will automatically create Inventory Transfer from GRPO warehouse to QC warehouse and this stock cannot be used until QC department clear it
  • And SAP will create Request for Quality Check automatically also

Receipt From Production

  • When User enter Material receipt from Production, SAP will automatically create inventory transfer from production warehouse to QC warehouse and this stock cannot be used until QC department clear it
  • At the same time system generate Request for Quality check automatically.

Pending QC

  • User can select Pending Inspection Requests for further Quality inspection
  • List of requests can have status as Pending, Cancel and Processed & filter according to the Dates, Supplier codes

Quality Check-GRPO

  • User can also change/enter test equipment code. When user enter the observed values
  • and these all values are into the range (between Min value and Maximum value) system automatically marks QC is OK
  • And transferred all the quantity into OK warehouse automatically. If observed values are not in range, then it is sent to the disposition

Quality Check-Receipt from Production

  • This screen is used to enter observed values for parameter checked for finished/semi-finished goods
  • User can also change/enter test equipment code. When user enter the observed values, and these all values are into the range (between Min value and Maximum value) system automatically marks QC is OK and transferred all the quantity into OK warehouse automatically. If observed values are not in range, then it is sent to the disposition

Inventory Transfer from QC to GRPO/Production Warehouse

  • When QC Deptt enter QC Values, SAP checks that observed values are in range of **defined min-max** values
  • If values are OK, then SAP will make **automatic transfer from QC warehouse to GRPO** warehouse

Pending Disposition

  • In this screen we will have only Item list whose **value was not OK** as per the item parameter Master taken under Quality checking with all the information
  • we can filter the list of request number through Document **status as Pending, Cancel** and Processed we can also filter according to the dates, supplier codes

Disposition

  • Pending disposition screens allow the authorized user to do the disposition of material
  • Following disposition methods are available Accepted, Rejected, Partial Accepted, Accepted under Deviation
  • If we are rejecting the item, we have to define the rejection reason also which has been setup earlier

System automatically creates inventory transfer from QC warehouse to OK warehouse or to Rejection warehouse as per disposition type selected

In Process QC

In Process QC screens allow the user to record the in-process QC details production process wise with defined frequency like in every 2 hours. Parameter wise observations can be recorded

  • Daily Calibration Record of Instruments (e.g.pH meter)
  • This is to record Daily calibration of PH meter with Instrument details.

Tools Cleansing Process

This form is used to record cleanliness record of equipment and tools

Intimation Process

  • This form is used by manufacturing that Item is pending in QC
  • After QC, quality department intimate to mfg. that QC is done
